SHUTTLECOCK - YONEX MAVIS 300

The Yonex Mavis 300 plastic shuttles combine close-to-feather shuttlecock flight performance with a four to five times higher durability than ordinary nylon shuttles.
 
Additionally, when smashed, a Mavis 300 shuttlecock recovers in only 0.02 seconds. This performance is just 0.005 seconds slower than a Yonex Feather shuttle and 0.008 seconds faster than the recovery of an ordinary shuttle. This means that the Mavis 300 has a flight pattern that comes close to feather shuttles.
Players should always use the shuttles best suited to their playing environment.
 
The hardness of the skirt – the feather part of the nylon shuttle varies depending on temperature. In cold environments, as the skirt becomes hard, it is prone to breaking. In hot environments, the skirt becomes softer and less likely to break, but the feel at impact is affected by the softer skirt. Therefore, Yonex has three different speed categories of nylon shuttles: Slow (22-33 °C), Medium (12-23 °C) and Fast (0-13 °C).
